For more than 70 years, Jennings Veterinarians has been a trusted partner in the health and well-being of pets, livestock, and the families who care for them. What began as a local veterinary practice has grown into a modern, full-service veterinary hospital while remaining deeply connected to the community we proudly serve.
Our story began in 1955 with Dr. Max Coryell Joseph, whose dedication to veterinary medicine helped establish the foundation of compassionate, community-focused care that continues to guide us today. Dr. Joseph served on the Jennings County Board of Health for more than 30 years and was President of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association in 1974.
In 1965, Dr. Robert "Doc" Rigney joined the practice after graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. For more than four decades, Dr. Rigney served the animals and families of Jennings County while helping build the trusted reputation of Jennings Veterinarians today. In 1984, Drs. Stephen Sollman and Patricia Vayo purchased the practice and guided it through 33 years of family ownership, expanding services while maintaining the compassionate, personalized care our clients had come to expect.
In 2017, Jennings Veterinarians became part of the Vetcor family. While our resources and capabilities continued to grow, our commitment to local relationships, personalized service, and exceptional veterinary medicine remained unchanged. Today, under the leadership of Chief of Staff Dr. Rachel Davis and Hospital Manager Caroline Short, Jennings Veterinarians continues its tradition of combining advanced veterinary medicine with hometown care.
